  It Depends on the usage of the air con. If the air con switch on daily for more than 20 hours a Bi-Monthly servicing is recommended.Otherwise, servicing once every 3 months should be sufficient. Generally air con should be serviced when the following conditions occurs:

  • Cooling efficiency is gradually reduced.
  • Cooling coil is dirty & badly choke after long usage.
• Q2. How often should the air con be chemically washed or flushed ?

  It is not advisable to chemically washed or flushed the air con too often. The air con should be chemically flushed under the following conditions:

  • Erratic air flow with inconsistent sound from the blower.
  • Cooling capacity is gradually reduced.
  • Dirty & badly choked cooling coil after prolong usage without regular servicing.
• Q3. Why does the air con emits / produce foul smell during operation ?

  This happen due to the environmental factors such as carpets, furniture’s, cigarettes being absorbed into the unit & being discharge together with the air flow that contributes to the odour.

• Q6. Why is the air conditioner not cold ?

  The Causes are of poor cooling may be due to the following factors:

  • Air filter dirty.
  • Object blocking the air inlet / outlet of the indoor / outdoor units.
  • Temperature set too high.
  • Window and doors are opened.
  • Airflow direction is not appropriately set.
  • Remove controller is not in the cooling mode.
  • Part may be faulty.
• Q7. Why is the air conditioner not responding to the remote control ?

  The cause of remote control not responding may be due to the following:

  • Batteries in the remote control may have run out of power.
  • Objects may be blocking the receiver at the fan coil unit.
  • The distance between the fan coil & remote controller may be too far.
  • Remote controller, printed circuit board (PCB) or parts may be faulty.

  Air Filter shoud be wash once every 2 week. No, the air purifying filter can’t be wash as it will damage the charcoal element & properties. It is advisable to replace the air purifying filter on average of 3 months.
